In a shock development, the European Parliament voted today (by just 10 votes) to send the #Mercosur free trade agreement signed by 🇪🇺President von der Leyen in Paraguay on Saturday to the EU high court for review - possibly delaying it by two years.

The question now is whether VDL will try to apply Mercosur provisionally while the court reviews it The bigger question: are EU leaders still living in previous era by trying to solve the crisis of American aggression through FTAs, even as free trade is becoming less and less popular with citizens?
