That's it - 🇪🇺President von der Leyen's 'surrender deal' is dead. The EU is complying with the terms of their surrender. The 🇪🇺Parliament has ratified the terms. It is the US which is breaking the terms of the deal with this new tariff threat. Appeasement has not worked.

The pathetic spectacle of Europeans clinging to the terms of their surrender even as the US side flagrantly violates the deal has been hard to watch. We can't go on like this. It's time for Europe to drop the appeasement and say the deal is off.

davekeating.substack.comThough she won't admit it, von der Leyen's surrender deal died FridayThe EU president made huge concessions in order to lower Trump's 'retaliatory tariffs' from 20% to 15%. The Supreme Court has cancelled them, just before an EU Parliament vote to ratify her 'deal'.

It sounds like Bernd Lange, chair of the European Parliament's trade committee, has had enough. "This latest move demonstrates just how unreliable the US side is. We have already witnessed these arbitrary attacks from the US in the case of Greenland; this is no way to treat close partners."
