It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

And juries keep sitting through trials, doing their civic duty - and trump keeps pardoning convicts. That too is very dispiriting. If the Dems don't run on restoring the concepts of The Rule of Law, and that No One is Above The Law, they're idiots.

Absolutely no reason whatsoever to refrain from adding three justices to the Supreme Court in January, 2029, and to immediately impose term limits to dispose of 2-3 current justices (Alito and Thomas). Also, anything and everything feasible should be done to prevent another Trump appointment.

When Dems are back in power, they need to seriously rein in SCOTUS. Abolish (or strictly limit) stare decisis to keep SCOTUS from legislating from the bench or rewriting the Constitution on the fly. And create a new nonpartisan "court of review" below SCOTUS to intercept and resolve most appeals.

Here is a new law for you. Any member of SCOTUS who is found to have taken bribes or anything looking like a bribe or breaching the Constitution, must be fired and never allowed to sit as a judge in any court again.

I do not think these people have a clue about the future. When the new Congress is situated next year, these unlawful and unconstitutional acts are considered political and not legal acts, they will be humbled and either removed or have five new liberal justices.

I don't hold out much hope for impeachment to happen (although it SHOULD). The best I could see is that decades from now, historians universally view John Roberts as one of the great villains in American history, and law schools teach the current court is an example of how judges should never act.

Oh, I don’t think impeachment will even be brought up, but it should. If we didn’t live in a country that was controlled by the oligarchs, I think it would. We desperately need to get money out of politics and back into the hands of the people.

Supreme Court reform is EASY if Dems win a trifecta in 2029. 1) Kill filibuster. 2) Mandatory retirement for all justices over age 70. This removes Thomas, Alito, Roberts (Conservatives) + Sotomayor (Liberal). 3) Create new 13 member Supreme Court of rotating justices & stack with liberals. Done!

Totally agree, it's encouraging to see those detailed rulings from district courts. The contrast with the short, unsigned orders from SCOTUS is pretty stark, and yeah, it does feel disheartening. But you're right these efforts expose the issue and keep the conversation going....

Alito’s sneering contempt for anyone — including, in this case, two district court judges — who would come to any form of conclusion that isn’t his has become intolerable. He is a horrible man.

The 6 conservative justices believe they call the shots ultimately, that will likely be their downfall as they are going to rule against trump and he is going to ignore ruling or worse, in fact I believe he will call for the the arrest, impeachment, etc of SC justices.

Lower courts should simply continue to rule according to plain meaning of the Constitution. Ignore Scotus' twisted "interpretations" & so-called precedents. Scotus set the precedent for ignoring precedent. Force upon Scotus a backlog of overturning sound rulings & breaking oath every single time.
