More than anything it's just sad how people gatekeep themselves from such fun, then mistake automating the fun part as participation. I put a lot of blame for this confusion on deprioritizing art in education so much that some people can't see that it's one of the few things accessible to anyone.

the part people interpret as gatekeeping is really more of the commercial side, which about art _markets_, not art.
there was never a barrier to entry for art. or coding. or writing. pick up a paint brush. open a text editor. have at it! what's disappearing are barriers to reach. some of which are good! the problem with "if everyone is an X then no one is an X" reveals a search problem, not elitist gatekeeping.
