nah, after the most recent waffle incident i have to agree that bluesky the company really does not care about the users that made it what it is right now and telling people "you can leave" is the worst PR strategy i have ever seen the users that made this what it is can't just leave as of now

i really like atproto, the framework that this is running on, and it's absolutely the best option for the future of social network i hope we can "just leave" as soon as possible because bluesky the company obviously does not have any interest in hosting us, it's just not possible at all right now

i do have to thank the team that made the technology possible in the first place and with it we'll be able to "just leave" as they want us to do without losing contact with everyone we are already following and are followed by but it's just sad that this is what they always wanted to do in the end

bluesky the company will not last if these decisions keep being made and it's just a matter of time until the rest of the funding goes away since they don't earn any money too, let us be ready for when that happens and finish building the infrastructure that will help that go smoothly

it's already possible thanks to @rude1.blacksky.team's work but unfortunately not in the scale that it's needed the ideal situation would be for each country to have their own shared PDSes and their own appview, i would love to see a brazilian bsky instance funded by the government

this is absolutely not the thing in question here, bluesky has been amazing for me as an user ever since i joined and the ""negative interactions"" can only be solved by a really well written TOS (which doesn't exist right now) and really good and consistent behavior by the moderation system

that the current design of the social app currently drives people to negative interactions with each other
