I agree completely. To so many we need to get to join us to many curse words grate on the speakers ears and the point get lost.

I’ve had POETS and songwriters try to justify it that way, but I don’t buy it. (I’ve become more inured to it; otherwise I couldn’t watch anything not on the Disney channel.) And the coarseness of current discourse doesn’t help bridge the culture gap.
