None of that would stand up in court, surely? They may as well have drafted something that declared Trump to be the Second Coming. It's just a worthless bauble the DoJ has given him as a pacifier. It's about as meaningful as the FIFA Peace Prize.

There's the Constitution overriding everything, and usually there'll be something in it that pertains, particularly something as blatantly abusive as this. If it were as easy as the DoJ writing 'We put this man above the law now and forever' and it's done, I'm sure other presidents would have...

Have you read any of the political rulings of the Supreme Court which has already declared Trump immune for anything he does in his official office?

Yes, but this is in perpetuity. I can't see that holding. It's as un-American as durian pie, and I think - if the Dems get their act together and stop being absolutely useless - this 'new normal' will rapidly denormalise when Trump's out of office.
