For most of its history the SCOTUS has been an institution acting to continue oppression. That the Robert’s court is openly and unapologetically racist should surprise no one. History will look back on the 1954-2000 period as the time SCOTUS acted in furtherance of a multiracial democracy

The only solution is to outlaw gerrymandering all together. Each state needs to appoint a bi-partisan commission to draw congressional districts. And, outlaw redistricting outside of the normal 10 year cycle. Only allow it after a national census has been performed.
