4 House incumbents didn't even run for reelection, 2 are over 75, 2 lost in the primaries, 2 ran for higher office & lost. Cornyn lost. Trump endorsed candidates for statewide offices are extreme right wingers. Rs predict they may lose the majority in the state house of reoresentatives.

If Dumpy gets away with rigging or overturning the results of the 2026 mid-terms then the election in 2028 isn't going to matter because it will be nothing more than a simple referendum on Dumpy's continued rule.
