HAPPENING NOW: Trump is addressing the nation with what he's calling "really big news" on elections. The reality? He's spent nearly six years pushing false claims about 2020 that have been debunked by his own administration, election officials and courts. We're fact-checking him LIVE below👇

Trump: "Americans were lied to about our election infrastructure, including voting machines and ballot counting systems."

Trump asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, FBI, CIA to investigate why such crucial information on foreign election interference was hidden.

The White House will release intel related to foreign interference in elections. The release spans Jan 2020 - June 2026.

One set of documents "revealed that even when significant evidence of fraud has been detected, it has been buried and covered up," according to Trump.

Trump: "To reveal just how vulnerable our elections continue to be, we are releasing the results of a stunning investigation by DHS... they identified approximately 278,000 noncitizens registered to vote in federal elections."

Trump on the slow vote count in California's primaries: "This is worse than any third world country. There's no third world country that has elections like we have."

Trump ends his speech with a call to pass his "No. 1 priority," the SAVE America Act. He says "the only reason you wouldn't do it is you want to cheat, because your policies are so bad and your candidates are so pathetic that you can't get elected any other way."

TRUMP: Claimed China obtained 220 million U.S. voter files and accused intelligence officials of concealing election threats. FACT: U.S. intelligence concluded that no foreign actor attempted to alter voter registration, ballot casting, vote tabulation or the reporting of 2020 election results.

TRUMP: Pointed to California’s slow vote count while claiming U.S. elections are vulnerable to interference. FACT: California’s timeline is the result of state laws that give it time to count millions of votes before certification. A slow count is not evidence of fraud or interference.

TRUMP: Claimed a 2020 voter registration drive in Michigan was an example of large-scale voter fraud. FACT: Any fraudulent registrations tied to the event were voided before the 2020 election, and authorities have said it didn't lead to a single fraudulent vote being cast.

TRUMP: China sought to interfere in the 2020 election against him. FACT: One of the newly released assessments cited by Trump states Chinese cyber actors targeted Biden's campaign for intel, but also concluded China did not "intend to covertly interfere to try and sway the outcome of the election."

TRUMP: Asserted China hacked election infrastructure. FACT: The heavily cited, newly released documents confirm that China obtained voter registration records — information that is readily available for download from commercial websites.

Which is exactly what his own Attorney General, Bill Barr, called Trump’s claims when he was under oath. He’s a pathological liar.
