Thanks so much for fighting for our voting rights, Marc. But doesn't your assessment that it's too late to pass any voter suppression laws assume that the Republican SCOTUS justices won't violate decades of precedents and allow last-minute changes to voting procedures? Is that a good assumption?

I just don't understand the GOP obsession with this act. It will affect their voters too, and possibly to an even greater extent than it affects Democratic voters. It simply makes no sense at all.

It makes a lot of sense if Elon is willing to play again and also, men don't give a FUCK when it comes to women's rights, except how quickly they can take them away. This is patriarchy in action, laid bare.

Yes, but the problem is that women who vote GOP are more likely to get married and to take their husband's name than are women who vote Dem. GOP voters are more likely to not have a passport. They're more likely to live in rural areas & use mail in ballots. 🤷 www.reuters.com/legal/govern...

Very few of them are. 60 votes are required to pass (most bills can't pass with a simple majority), and there are currently 53 voting Republican senators since Mitch McConnell is out (dead?). Last vote, only 4 Republicans voted against it. There was no vote this time.

I knew it wouldn't pass when Susan Collins announced her 'support' for it. That meant that Majority Leader Thune had promised her it would never pass the Senate. Thus, she could tell MAGA voters she supported The Donald.
