But they did the primary with new maps, right? How do you have a general election with different districts than the primary?

It’s not over. In a different case a federal judge ruled in favor of the new map. The candidate plaintiffs said people who voted for them in the primary under the new map would be disenfranchised by reverting to the old map. It’s a mess. I hate these people.
