NEW: A new USPS policy will eliminate evening mail pickups from select post offices across the country — a change that will eventually slow pick-up and delivery times for around 70% of zip codes in the U.S. We mapped those zip codes to help you figure out whether your mail ballot could be affected👇

Polling place ballot boxes are a second place, better than post office, or a blue mail box. Cannot trust them. Sorry, slowing down mail N O W instead of at Holidays? at Census? Not buying usps excuses. National policy practices change very well 'timed'.

I take mine to a drop box at a early voting location. Then call in a coupler of days to make sure it was received counted.

Of course trumps bootlicking postmaster general is slowing mail as much as possible it's midterms coming up and who is going to police them when they disappear mail in ballots

If AT ALL possible...DON'T TRUST the USPS! Deliver your ballot in person, vote early, drop you ballot in a drop box....whatever. Do whatever you must to ensure your vote is counted. ESPECIALLY if you're a registered Democrat or Independent!!

Yes please use election drop boxes. I am retired postal..I have been saying since dejoy..I trust my mail carrier but i dont trust once it leaves my local office. If you absolutely have to use PO ..vote immediately and mail. Don't wait. Also you can go and check thru county if received. I always do

If you can, go to a P.O. & have your envelope HAND STAMPED. If you can’t do that, drop it in an official drop box, take it to the county election office, or take it to a polling place. If you live in a state where the last 3 aren’t options, mail it EARLY or vote in person.

In our town we cannot accept mail in at the polls. Town Hall drop off. A special drop box at the front door. We had maybe 3 voters show up with them at the Primary.

remarkably useless map there -- no county lines or search box to find particular zip codes, and nobody knows the actual shape of their zip...(PS: my zip eliminated all but 7am pickup a couple years ago.)

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"— but craven subservience to the McNazi Party, sure thing.

All of this change the filthy Nazi RepubliCONS are doing to the USPS Is to privatize it! Like they do everything, USPS was never meant to be a profit making service you stupid moronic assholes, it’s a SERVICE! Like the US Military!!! The Military doesn’t make a profit EITHER! Going to privatize it?

If you can, drop your mail-in ballot at a post office and request the clerk to time and date stamp it before you turn it in. VOTE early; mail-in ballots should be dropped off or mailed two weeks before November 3rd, which is October 20th.

When I was a postal clerk 2017-2024, the internal USPS position was not to hand cancel ballots. They wanted them run through Automated Facing & Cancelling System (AFCS) machines. So your mileage may vary based upon the individual clerk. I was advised by my steward that we were *supposed* to decline.

Is this wrong then? USPS site says: Customers can ensure that a postmark is applied to their mailpiece, and that the date on the postmark matches the date of mailing, by visiting a Postal Service retail location and requesting a manual postmark at the retail counter when tendering their mailpiece.

I can only advise what my union steward, who was vice-president of our union, trained me on at the station where I worked. He would hand cancel ballots. But he would also encourage folks standing in line for just ballots to drop them in the collection slot due to long lines and limited personnel.

In Tampa, they changed our hours; we now start two hours earlier. Due to my seniority, it didn't affect me much as I stayed put, but there was absolutely no reason for it. Trained staff that knew our job wound up in another work area via the bidding process. Each day, I expedite whatever I can.

Just for everyone information; this has been going on for awhile now. Example: If you send something out today. It doesn’t go to the processing plant today. It goes tomorrow.. USPS is just trying to clean some shit up that’s been going on. This started last year under DeJoy..

Seems like a conspiracy by the U.S. government to obstruct our rights to vote. Just to be safe, I will not trust the USPS to deliver my ballot unmolested. I will hand carry it to the Registrar of Voters and hand it directly to them.

This already went into effect in our area. It slowed the delivery of our weekly newspaper by at least a day to all of our out of town subscribers. Which means our paper, printed on Wednesday evening, mailed first thing Thursday morning, doesn't leave the local post office until Friday morning.
