🧵 Early voting has begun in Wisconsin, where election officials are already sounding the alarm about mail voting delays. Plus, the state’s governor’s race, where an election denier is on the ballot, is shaping up to be a close one. Here’s what to know 👇

🚧 VOTING ROADBLOCKS: Early reports suggest more people are skipping mail ballots this year as USPS slows pickup and delivery times. Wisconsin has no grace period for late arrivals and requires that ballots arrive by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to count.

🚧 USPS recommends absentee ballots be mailed one week before Election Day to arrive in time, according to the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin. Voters can track their absentee ballots here ⬇️

🗳️ Wisconsin will likely remain a key swing state in 2028. And if he’s elected governor, Tiffany would have the authority to appoint the state’s top election officials on the Wisconsin Elections Commission, giving him the ability to install election deniers to oversee voting.

⚠️ FEDERAL INTERFERENCE: Earlier this year, the FBI launched a probe into Wisconsin’s 2020 election results. An FBI agent even visited the home of Milwaukee County’s elections director in an attempt to question her.

⚠️ The FBI also questioned Wisconsin Elections Commission deputy administrator Robert Kehoe. Wisconsin is one of several states that Trump targeted in the wake of the 2020 election as he and his legal team attempted to overturn the results.
