WIN: Last week, the 7th Circuit denied a right-wing request for a full rehearing of its request for access to Wisconsin’s complete voter registration list, which includes private data. The move comes after a three-judge panel for the circuit and a lower court already ruled against the group.

Privacy is the only thing we have left that hasn't been indexed, scraped, or turned into a training set. Glad to see the court treating voter rolls like a vault and not a public API.

They keep suing for the entire voter file like private data is a mailing list they are entitled to. Court after court keeps saying no. At some point the losing is the tell. They do not want the data to protect elections. They want it to work the list.

This is not a win. It is fending off systematic corruption. If they don't get voted out, they will keep refining their fuckery until we can't fend them off any more.
