A new documentary from @zeteo.com “Who Killed Shireen?” reveals that Israeli soldiers are using the face of slain Palestinian American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh for target practice. Abu Akleh’s brother, Anton, calls it "absolutely barbaric."

David French's OpEd in today's NYT pissed me off. He talks about the IDF without any sense of reality. Israel has been systematically targeting and killing journalists, aid workers, and civilians - but in David French's world, the IDF is a responsible entity that can be trusted to occupy Gaza.

Israel is completely unhinged. It's an almost wholly depraved society in the way they relate to Palestinians and broadly to all Arab people. They need to be stopped.

Both sides are guilty of atrocities. What I don't understand is why the US should have any involvement in a centuries-old religious war. I'm really just sick of religious zealots of all stripes costing the rest of us peace and lives. Keep your religious violence to yourselves. All religions.
