Hey @bachmann.wtf, apologies for the late reply! DeployHQ does support git submodules, but there's one key thing to set up. 🧵

The most common issue: DeployHQ needs access to the submodule repo too. Make sure your project's public key is added as a deploy key on both the main repo AND the submodule's repo.

On GitHub, a deploy key can only be used on one repo -- so you may need a machine user to share it across both. More info: deployhq.com/support/common-repository-errors/submodule-authentication-unauthorized-fatal
