For a sidebar drawer what should I use sheet or modal?

I would use a sheet. There's an example of that exact pattern in the docs. react-aria.adobe.com/Sheet#position

react-aria.adobe.comSheet | React AriaAn overlay that slides in from the edge of the screen and can be swiped to dismiss.

Thanks. I saw that but I was thinking why would desktop drawer need gestures? So I had to ask. On mobile it makes sense unless I am missing a obvious use case for desktop.

I think it's kinda nice to be able to dismiss it via the trackpad

Having tried every sheer library under the sun, I’ll be amazed if this covers all the cases that give issues on various mobile devices and configurations! I’ll give it a try in hope of being pleasantly surprised!
