Some very exciting news - it looks like the working group for AT Protocol at the IETF has been approved! (though not formalized in the datatracker just yet) This is a big milestone in the standards process. But is also just the start of the actual process - years of meetings & work ahead!

The goal of taking atproto to the IETF is to have a neutral body for design and standardization. Participation is open to anyone. If you care about the long-term design of atproto, I'd strongly encourage you to join the mailing list and start participating in discussions

We'll have more info on next steps soon and will probably do an actual announcement once this is formally confirmed in the datatracker. So stay tuned!
