1/ 📣 DigiNode Tools v26.10.01 is live! It's been a long time since the last big update, so this one is packed. It's also the first with date-based version numbers - v26.10.01 is the first release of October 2026. Here's what's new 🧵 #DigiByte #DigiNode #DGB

2/ 🔒 Safer DigiByte Core upgrades Every DigiByte Core release is now verified automatically before your DigiNode will install it. Its hash must match the one GitHub recorded when it was uploaded, and the release's own checksums. New releases then roll out gradually over about two weeks.

3/ 🔢 Install any version of DigiByte Core Choose Version in the DigiNode Setup menu to upgrade or downgrade to any verified release, all the way back to v7.17.2. Handy for testing, or if a new release causes you problems.

5/ 🔄 Easy resync The new Blockchain option lets you delete the blockchain data for mainnet or testnet, to resync a stuck or corrupted node, or to free up space. Your node is stopped, cleared and restarted for you. Your wallets are never touched.

6/ 📊 A better Dashboard DigiNode Dashboard no longer looks frozen while your node is busy syncing - it shows a spinner and lets you know it's busy. And you can now press N to hide your IP addresses before sharing a screenshot, like this one 👇

7/ 🛡️ More secure and reliable - digibyte.conf, which holds your RPC password, can now only be read by your DigiNode user - Nodes that fail to start after an update are restarted and checked - Software DigiNode Tools doesn't use is no longer installed
