I've seen some people defend this, like "the controls have improved so much nowadays that it's all you need", which is just... a horrible take

I can't wait to do some of the Water Temple small keys. Shoot an arrow using ZR, hold R to select hookshot (pausing the game btw), and then hold ZR again, aim, and fire... where as in the original you would just equip both, fire an arrow, nudge your aim and just press the hookshot button.

Oh well. I'm trying to remind myself that the original game is still there, it will always be there, and it will always be how I want it to be. This remake is just a bonus.

Other than the stupid single item slot, I don't really have any complaints. Yeah everything looks and sounds weird but no matter what they did it would always look and sound weird after being used to the original for almost 30 years

I guess the true test will be in 10 years. Will I be doing another playthrough of the original or will I be doing another playthrough of the remake? Or maybe even both? We shall see.
