I feel like if they ever do that, they’d want save it for his next in person appearance

Yeah, there's a reason Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie got major overhauls while the designs on classic characters that have only returned as statues have been very small. They're not rethinking them yet. It's only done to bring their last designs up to par with the contemporary Kongs.
