New study shows that — contra widely accepted narratives — there is NO EVIDENCE that professors change their students’ politics and make them more liberal through their teaching

Unfortunately the anti-education chuds don’t care about data They hate that the majority of college students are women, so they are devaluing college like they devalued other women dominated fields

Every teacher's fantasy and wildest dream: students listen, pay attention, understand, and implement what they learned for life. It it were that easy, we could just record our lessons and walk away. The shocking fact is how much students are "taught' that is NOT retained. A huge percentage.

Anecdotally, as a non-trad stu, it be that pesky critical thinking and exposure to things other than those your Footloose ass family told you to be true. I'll say this, these DEI inquisitions at state schools in GOP supermajority states have had a VERY detrimental effect on my BSW curriculum...

Hotlines to report teachers, all kinds of stupid stuff. Black and Women's groups having to open their core mission to everyone (Yte Males) or disaffiliate. Most chose the latter.

In fact, if anything the study finds a small backlash effect to Democratic faculty (slightly higher chance of the student becoming a Republican!) It also shows that Democratic profs don’t include more liberal topics or textbooks in their courses

These morons just can't accept that being around different people at a college is the biggest factor. Hard to be racist when you see whatever type enjoying and doing the exact same thing as you, and going through the same troubles. Hard to 'other' someone terrified of the same test as you.

This was absolutely what happened to me. I was raised conservative, and the progressive faculty just made me angry. Then I met a very cool immigrant. Their leftist friends threw such good parties. We became roommates, would stay up arguing about politics, and eventually they changed my mind

For many, college is getting out from under Mom and Dad and looking at the world yourself. Maybe date who you were told never to date, try stupidly hot Thai food, live with people you wouldn't have talked to 3 years ago, work around people from different backgrounds. Not a hard concept.
