Waiter! Waiter! There is an 8051 in my 10Gbit Ethernet SFP+ module!

I love finding 8051s, it's a reassuring presence in unfamiliar devices.

If anything it's a testament to what can be done with even a simple and old ISA if it's overclocked enough and the tooling is well understood.
