Always weird when people argue the few € for additional discs prevent proper physical releases. Just pass it on the consumer like Nintendo does. Their games are notoriously more expensive and less likely to drop in price. Yet they have the highest physical split of all platforms.

I’ll happily pay more for a good release. I can even wait for a complete edition with all the content. If the mainstream has no interest, make it a limited thing. There are so many ways physical can exists in this day and age, be profitable AND be good for consumers.

BD-XL can carry 100GB. I think it speaks to a lack of optimisation in AAA if they can't fit a game into 100GB.

Plus, a second data disc can always be included, like Last of Us 2 and RDR2 had. It's pure laziness on publisher's part.

I don't mind paying an extra $5 or so for a game if it means that I'll get it on two discs or fully on a cart.
