Tailends, a former GSFTW vendor with 24k followers on Xitter, has made a statement thread and they are NOT happy.

Tippers sent in evidence that GSFTW's PR guy, Sotalo, lies to excuse the management, and calls people liars who report unsolved problems. That includes Tailends, the afore-posted ex-vendor who suffered theft at the con, being treated dismissively by GSFTW's PR guy Sotalo. (1/6)

Vendors from GSFTW talk to each other in direct messages about Sotalo's lie that they were compensated for theft: "such fucking liars... Vendors are pulling out in large droves" (3/6)

Sotalo, after dismissing vendor concerns, gives a warning to them for being upset. Chat: "The issue is not that we weren't compensated... It's that you lied... And called us liars". - "Sotalo is following instructions to quash all dissidence." (6/6)

In GSFTW Dealer's chat, people who suffered theft react to being called liars by Sotalo, the PR guy brought in to quash dissent. "It would be so cool if the representatives of this con would stop lying to us." - "This is the official PR rep of GSFTW calling you a liar."

God it just keeps going and going and going. They don't know when to quit. They just keep getting worse and worse people, like Sotalo, to keep trying to reanimate this corpse of a con. It's not happening.

I'm getting too many tips and links to even keep up with about GSFTW management, and their bad friends who saw it as their special refuge.

Kitsu Galaxy is a NJ artist who posted about being scammed and mistreated by Dashing Fox, GSFTW founder, in 2021. "He scammed me in the name of the con." It was at Dashing's poorly managed bowling meet used to fund a plan to start GSFTW without informing people. www.instagram.com/p/CRSOi_7JsP...

Kitsu made Bewares about mismanagement by Dashing Fox 3 years before GSFTW launched. "One of the most untrustworthy people I have ever been commissioned by."

Another Beware: this time collecting info about Peter/Flynn/Arcticwindsphoto, who was repeatedly allowed back in to GSFTW spaces with Furry Raider friends, and inhabits many regular furry spaces near the area. docs.google.com/document/d/e...

Message about GSFTW from one of numerous ex staff: Tripp, who was PR lead. Tripp had also done that job for the failed CCFC (Capital City Fur Con in PA,) and was the whistleblower of that debacle who helped uncover mismanagement and fraud by its incompetent chair.

Tripp, former PR for GSFTW, addresses Sotalo. "What you're doing is NOT PR, it's deflecting blame." "Artists have pulled out, GoHs have pulled out, staff have pulled out. How many more people need to pull out until you realize THE CON IS THE PROBLEM... This is a con that should have never existed."

When GSFTW management resorted to importing an arrogant, problematic Florida fur to quash dissent, bans and censorship may have left members who don't speak up. But ex-staff who did a lot of volunteering and made the first con happen aren't made powerless by disrespect, petty tyranny and bans.

It's not just outspoken local community members that Sotalo and GSFTW management have pissed off. A great quote from a private conversation in my inbox: “There is nothing to fear more than the anger of a gentle man.”
