And Fred Dibnah was involved in pulling them down. I watched them go down... My Dad once worked at Thermalite up the road who used the ash from there to make bricks...

Blimey that’s a story. Remember watching the cooling towers for the sister power station in Chadderton go boom. Did see Fred demolish a mill chimney, also in Chadderton, using his traditional method.
