Absolutely massive cock up with Forza Horizon 6 launch - devs accidentally uploaded full release, unencrypted and without DRM, to Steam over a week before even early access launch. People have torrented it and are casually playing on YouTube etc. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-r8...

I'm not linking the discussions around it as it's just people pirating it now. The Steam change obviously got rolled back but now everybody is just pirating it to play early. Shit sucks, I know somebody who worked for years on it, the piracy will cost jobs.

Yeah someone else also posted that but would this really hurt sales? Some are going to pirate anyway, now just a few days earlier than expected. Pirates get an easy release. But the real fans will still buy it? Or at least play on Xbox Game Pass? I think this tips scales, barely if at all.
