I feel safer being in the cordoned off area where the cops are and the street is blocked off from vehicles. This was at the Capitol steps.

I've been to 13 protests at intersections now in a red area of california. The purpose in protesting is to get as many people as possible to view your signs. At intersections you reach people who don't watch news and aren't on social media. Also, it's time to be braver and take risks.
