Early on in the project, our director knew that he wanted cool lighting and shadow effects for more interesting level design, which is why he decided to switch engines. We think we're making good progress towards achieving those goals! #gamedev #indiegamedev #ScreenshotSaturday

We switched from GameMaker to Godot 4.6, and it went pretty smoothly! It was early enough in development that it was just a matter of getting level swapping, a dialogue system, Kid moving, and opponents reacting scripted again. 1/2

We had no experience with Godot, specifically, but our director did have Lua experience, which translated over pretty easily. We've been building in Godot 4.6 with GDscript ever since! 2/2
