This is huge. HUGE. Oral contraceptive pills to be added to PBS for first time in decades. Funding for IUDs, long lasting contraception, and menopause supports. This is one for the history books. Seriously, BIG. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02...

Given how poorly Labor have performed against promises since the last election, I’m feeling pretty cynical about this tbh. It feels like pretty basic Medicare maintenance pitched as some amazing support for women while remaining mute on bigger issues like violence against women.

they have to YELL IT from the rooftops... alongside, offer very real party forward on cost of living, and be extraordinarily clear on the deep & existential threat an LNP govt poses should they get in...

Long term contraception is a women’s freedom from unwanted pregnancies It’s vital we monitor this as that freedom was a bloody battle for our sisters who often suffered dire consequences Great post, Dr Allen, it gives us hope ❤️

I wish governments would say "Vote for us because we did these good things in our current term" rather than "If you vote for us again we'll do good things next time"
