The problem is not the Flock cameras. The cameras are a tool. The problem lies in the type of person attracted to police work. Too many (not all) are attracted to this position of power for the wrong reasons.

Are AI executives begging for immunity from damage they created with hallucinations? Is the sudden concern about "humanity" a smokescreen for a technology with a 95% failure rate? Have AI executives been making knowingly false promises for years (i.e. fraud)? www.thedataexperts.us/writing/ente...

Shared credentials are the culprit in many of these casesb not solved by cutting their personal access. Only some form of MFA fixes this. Also criminal prosecution of those that use the system without authorization but maybe I'm an optimist.

Bad they don't loose access after leaving the police. Maybe worse that the use of these tools to track people by the police is now normal.

As simply put as I know how to put it, Flock cameras—and everything that does what Flock cameras do—is an abomination. The people who create them, the people who deploy them, and the people who profit from them, all belong in Hell.
