I am starting to see Pro Data Center ads phrasing it is "fighting China" I hope more cities ban them

The whole world now knows the only sustainable location for multiple Data Centers is Northern Ontario...hydro power, rare minerals, ordinary minerals, pure water, no people but brain power to burn in Toronto, money from the FEDs (Canada/USA), cleanest miners in the world.

Awesome!

It's not always that easy. Pennsylvania has a law that if a type of business is legal, municipalities can't bar them from operating, although they can impose reasonable restrictions.

There's talk of them building one in the small Alabama town where I live. Just fired off a letter to the Mayor and newspapers.

Or anywhere else in the world...we not only don't need AI for anything it is doing harm to the world and life on it. Just saw video of a man with his AI girlfriend on his laptop having dinner at a restaurant...UGH!

After reading the insane Plantrir guys faux intellectual writings, I say every city must do what Monterey is doing. It’s a matter of life or “Mountainhead” movie becoming a reality. And I’m being serious.

Too bad they only banned it within city limits. It should just be completely banned.

Nice!!!
