I'm back at Rejekts for the last couple of afternoon talks. I'm about to learn about the Wrong Way to Reconcile by Scott Nichols (@n3wscott.com), which I'm sure will be very informative given that I have at this point written several reconcilers and I'm sure they're all wrong. #kubecon #rejekts

We have examples of declarative APIs all over the place. Fav example is the thermostat: "Dear thermostat, I declare that I would like my room to be 68 degrees", and the thermostat monitors the environment and adjusts the temperature.

CRD generations only change if the _spec_ changes -- metadata or status changes bump the resource version, but not the generation.

Once you've made a modification to your object in the reconcile loop, you should probably just bail at that point.
