You know, this whole automated driving system they’re trying sooooo hard for. Idk. Maybe for transporting non human cargo? I still don’t see a lot of positives for actual human beings.

your survivors can sue them … they don't get drunk or road-rage, so far they seem a bit safer than maniacs on their cell phones. could def see a lot of problems, need to monitor and update signage and infrastructure as it scales though. society might not tolerate them and mess with them.

one of their biggest violations is double parking, if it can’t locate a spot it idles in the lane awaiting an assignment, apparently a real problem in SF, tickets will be issued against the license plate

So they should be government should of brought these laws in first before allowing them on the road. If the car kills somebody it should be crash into a cube as well.

Can someone dumb this down for me? How weren't they subject to consequence BEFORE. Do they have any actual authorization to put driverless vehicles on the road? And, if so, wasn't THAT the time to figure out and train police how to deal with them?

A fitting End of driverless cars, the only thing they had going for them was the companies that make them being able to blame liability on crashes on the driver instead of their AI slop navigation system

Talk about supremely unlucky. I read about a guy who knew he was too intoxicated to drive recently so he put his Tesla on automated driver. And he got pulled over. It did not end well.
