Appreciate your efforts but urge you to reconsider your rec for GUSD board of education area D. Aileen Dinkjian is the only candidate publicly, vocally, and actively committed to protecting public schools and defending all students- esp. vulnerable targeted groups.

Aileen Dinkjian is an involved parent and experienced administrator who shows up fully for LGBTQ and immigrant groups who have faced aggressive attacks in our community. Shant K, at 23, is inexperienced and has not demonstrated understanding of or commitment to these urgent issues.

The stakes are too high for public ed to entrust this race to someone so inexperienced. We are pro-labor and want collaboration with unions generally but the endorsement committee made a mistake here and we are urging allies and community members to pay attention to candidate’s irl words/actions.
