Five days after 1.1, EmDash 1.2 is here! A redesigned editor, video blocks, numbered pages, domain moves and one-command upgrades. Here's what's new.

We redesigned the editor. It feels like editing a page now, with a toolbar that stays in view, a handle on every block and a slash menu that knows Markdown.

Type /video to add a video from the Media Library, or drop one straight into the text. Your site plays it in the browser's own player, Safari and iOS included.

Long collections now have numbered pages. Lists open with 20 entries, and you can switch to 50 or 100, jump to any page and keep your selection as you go.

Moving to a new domain? Change it in Settings. EmDash checks the new address first, then updates email links, sitemaps and SEO links, and helps your team sign back in.

Upgrades are one command now. upgrade-emdash updates your EmDash packages and writes a work order of everything that changed, for you or your coding agent.

EmDash is steadier on Cloudflare Workers. Background writes now finish after the response, cron stays under the Free plan's CPU limit, and bulk tagging works on D1.

That's EmDash 1.2, with 100 merged pull requests from 21 community contributors and the core team. To upgrade, run npx upgrade-emdash@latest Full release notes on the blog. emdashcms.com/blog/emdash-... Thanks, everyone!
