One weird factor of modernity to me is that a lot of teens are depressed because AI has made them feel they can never compete or become skilled enough at something they love for it to matter--

If anything I feel like AI extrudes this issue in a way where you can easily see how unquantifiable the quality of any given thing is.

I have 2 idea nuggets stuck in my craw for life, one from an awful high school debate class, you gotta define your terms or youre talking about nothing, and from a job in standardized tests, someone asked "how do you know youre measuring anything?" and answer was "you dont!"
