I hate that my ad blocker does not block the awful and distracting ads in Apple News. the ads are the worst part of that surprisingly good product.

Wipr 2 + the (paid) Filtr addon will zap Apple News ads. It’s a godsend.

Adding my thumbs-up for Wipr as a top-notch ad-blocker in general; I don't use the Filtr add-on b/c that requires macOS 26, which I'm still not upgrading to for various work-related UI/UX reasons.
