On threads today I saw someone say the new East of Eden miniseries "improved Steinbeck's novel" but it was honestly hard to even get kind of mad because the review was clearly written by AI and engagement farming

It sucks because I do have good interactions with other movie-watchers there but I feel like 90 percent of the posts with cool movie stills/video clips are posted without any motivation other than farming likes from people's whose neurons were activated by seeing a movie thing they remember.

And they have bad AI description like: "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. Eddy Murphy's visceral performance was stunning and gorgeous and ground-breaking. It shakes me to my core. This scene, where Grandma Klump farts at the dinner table, is one of the most influential shots in cinematic history."
