Let's pretend that Mayor Mamdani was a secret agent of Trump. He puts blockades around Harlem and shuts down the subways or something. Say he causes 1 million voters to miss the polls. At worst may affect a handful of congressional races. Won't affect a national popular vote

Vote suppression on this scale is not really in the Brazilian tradition. It seems to indicate a degree of MAGA influence. Obviously the details are going to be different, given the different electoral systems.
