People commenting stupid stuff like “stat padding “ as if scoring 1 point in the NBA is easy or saying “ he’s still not the goat “ he’s one of the GREATEST basketball players ever GROW TF UP 😒 regardless if you don’t like him HE’S A GOAT YALL ARE ANNOYING AF GO BACK TO TWITTER WITH THAT DUMB SHIT ‼️

Way to just make shit up, without any evidence. 1. The man has been a genetic freak since he was 16, without steroids. 2. He has consistently tried to manage his workload, skipping whole games or minimizing minutes.

21 year career. Never been lower than top 5. Played against so many HOFs and elite competition. It’s ok to be a casual fan or hater but I’m speaking facts only. He was the man that caused the super team era to begin because Boston knew they couldn’t beat him. Also see KD and the Warriors😨

He’s not an MVP, the league is way better and he had a slow start. But the crazy thing is, he might be 1st team All NBA. There are four spots locked up, Joker, SGA, Giannis, Tatum. That fifth spot is up for grabs. If he can keep this up, it might be his at 40. Amazing.

Yeah. The league was more physical in the old days. That may be why players last longer. But I was comparing lebron’s 2012-2013 to LeBron’s today. And the league-wide talent is better and deeper between those years. The 1980s were another talent boom—the 1990s, not so much.

In the 97-98 season, only 8% of the league was born outside the USA. It’s been >22% during Lebron’s time. The 90s excluded a billion or so people who now compete, fully on merit. ‘OOOHH hard fouls in the 90s!’ sure because when you lack talent you’d better be a bruiser with 6 fouls

Also… The centers & power forwards (big men” in positionless basketball that we have now) do NOT last longer. Olajuwon would really enjoy this league rn. Others don’t last longer either tho.. Wheres John Wall at these days? Also.. Not playing defense till playoffs does save the joints over time…

Touché.. I just think this post by ESPN is misleading. LeBron is a great player. Its just that these numbers should be take with a little less seriousness. They don’t play back to back road games any more. He plays against dudes like Ben Simmons on a nightly basis. Its not the same tough mindset.

The highest scoring team that year averaged 106.1 ppg. This year all but 3 teams are higher than that with the #1 team scoring 123.2 ppg. That's 16% more this year.
