Good that we have this communication from him and I hope it's a regular thing, he seemed to talk sense and he is quite right to say that most of the transfer business, frustratingly for us, will be done at the end of the window, only the top clubs have done business so far, apart from Sunderland.

I believe Leicester won their case because they found some “ground”between Champ & PL status. EFC have followed others in a similar way by using the existing rules backed up by recent findings over City & their 3rd party claims.

The Times report pulls a value from thin air It says the main purpose of the restructuring is to enable new minority investment (like Villa) Everton acknowledge a possible PSR profit but downplay significance We will have no idea of £ until accounts published Let us judge when we have facts

FWIW as it is also speculative some of our ‘ITK’ who have links to Everton have been downplaying it “we have not done a Chelsea” A shareholder What’sApp I am in had someone quote a number <£5m My point is that we just do not know at this point & until facts emerge judgement is premature

But if it turns out when facts emerge that Everton has actually done a Chelsea I will be torn between frustration at the mess that is PSR and the corruption of the game by money & on the other hand relief that Everton is finally run by smart people who can game the system that is stacked against us
