A 19-year-old dressed for war and armed with an assault weapon and 300 rounds of ammunition drove to a Hindu temple in Aurora, IL intending to kill worshipers. His plans were only stopped because his gun jammed. Hate shouldn’t be so easily and heavily armed by weapons of war.

Assault weapons are uniquely capable of mass devastation and put entire communities at risk. They have no place on our streets. The Supreme Court will soon hear a case on the constitutionality of life-saving assault weapons bans. They must uphold them.
