I don't know what it is about fountain pens, but my EDC selection colors my mood for the day. Carrying a 100+ year old pen frames my day with care and deliberate wonder. Carrying a modern pen with sparkly ink frames my day like "Star vs the forces of evil" and I giggle like a 12 year old all day

If you know, you know. A fountain pen, even an inexpensive one, forces the writer into a state of mindfulness. Not that it is difficult to write with one, because I started to use them for the sake of my arthritis. Attention must be paid with a fountain pen 🖋️.
