Today’s federal announcement marks an important investment in helping Canadians lower their home energy bills and reduce emissions. Reaching the ambition of retrofitting one million homes will mean bringing together a range of complementary solutions.

Canadians also need access to affordable financing and solutions that support comprehensive home retrofits, including improvements to energy efficiency and climate resilience.

There is a significant opportunity to build on today’s measures with complementary approaches that help more households undertake deeper retrofits, mobilize additional investment and deliver lasting savings.
