Anne Sullivan--the Miracle Worker--was the lifelong teacher and companion of Helen Keller, the first deaf-blind person to earn a college degree. She transformed Keller from an isolated, unruly child into a world-renowned author, lecturer, and activist. She died #OTD in 1936. #education #HistSky

Thanks for posting! I never knew about Anne Sullivan's own visual problems and blindness. I've always thought she was remarkable woman even without knowing this detail, but now that I do, she was even more amazing.
