Maris did a wonderful job today at her first pet therapy session with children, #CorgiCrew. She was so patient and kind. ❤️ I was very proud of her.

She was bred by a veterinarian, Dr. Pamela Mills Cone, in CT. She was not going to show her so we asked if we could meet her. The rest is history.

Yes. She first got her AKC canine good citizen certification, and then we applied to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs and went through their certification.

Cynthia, is Maris by any chance named after Dr. Niall Crane’s wife? Makes me miss my little corgi, Jinny Dog.

Kids are a lot to handle. I hope they were gentle! Maris is just so sweet. Sofi for some reason just loved kids. She loved to play with them and get pets and hugs

Yes but I know her and we left at the right time. Any longer and she would have started to get tired. We switched classrooms a few times, so it wasn’t just a single group. Also, the first visit was one- on- one with a student.

Awww, sweet Maris, you are radiating with Emotional Support Corginess ♥️ All of the children must have loved to be surrounded by your calm & loving aura ♥️ I can feel it just looking at your photo ♥️ Sending more of those snuggly Koala hugs across the oceans to you & your wonderful caring Mom ♥️🐨♥️🐨🌾🌻🌼🦋🐦

She was bred by Dr. Pamela Mills Cohen, a veterinarian from Connecticut. Dr. Cohen hadn't originally planned to enter her in a competition, so we asked if we could meet her. You know the rest of the story.
