i havent been drawing that much recently because i've been working on making my own image editor :). the biggest hurdle im facing right now is concepting the ui, so far i've made like 4 mockups... I've already made the file extension for it and a general program layout for handling images and stuff

im using webp compression for the file type (which is just a webp file's image data embedded in the file) but it's pretty efficient on size. the big things I plan to add are text boxes and image masking, something that paint/.net doesn't have, as well as some quality of life additions whatever

i recoded like all of it so I could clean it up better, this reimplement let me add highlighting and a visible cursor and whatnot. To even add the highlighting it required me to finally code a proper input system where i gave support for hotkeys :) in the future you'll be able to reconfigure these

currently trying my best to move this project from python to c. i barely know anything about this stupid language and progress has been unsurprisingly slow. So far the logic has remained mostly the same, though most of it so far is just simple tests. time to spend the rest of my days making structs

so far I have a config generator to control ui and eventually hotkeys. im also working on something i hadn't yet made while i was making this project in python so i can develop my c skills a little more. and a bunch of placeholderish files
