The Trump people have really messed up the tax resolution channels that taxpayers use. I had a tax resolution issue. I got lucky, the IRS sent me a letter just before the shutdown started with a contact number. I called and got the issue resolved.

The IRS sent me the letter as an update on an ongoing tax issue. The letter had the number to call for questions. The issue got resolved during the call. A warning, if you ever need a CPA or Tax Lawyer, all of them are not of the same abilities, take time and find a good one.

If you study accounts of his business and life history, his life has been about taking advantage of situations where he had unmatched power, or had someone over a barrel (like one case where he owed banks hundreds of $millions and they had to “work” with him).

The IRS closes down on maybe Monday after business. It only had funding to operate for 5 days after the shutdown, due to funding that the Biden Administration had given the Agency. So after Monday, tax avoiders will be happy. Business people and others that have tax questions will be screwed.

Karoline Leavitt the White House press secretary isn’t an essential employee, I want to see her furloughed. I want the White House press media to ask her why she hasn’t been furloughed and why does she think she’s an essential employee.

For 5 business days after the shutdown started. Because the IRS still had some money that Biden had given the Agency. So the agency shuts down maybe Monday after the completion of that business day. We truly are in shitshow territory now.

Sorry, you won’t get it until after the shutdown, unless you get lucky and the IRS process your check before something like Monday COB. I am guessing that the amount helps you with some immediate need, but is not large enough that getting a tax payment anticipatory loan makes sense.
